FOR STUDENTS --> Available databases

Types of database resources:

All electronic information resources in relation to the University can be found on the Electronic Resources Portal (PEZ): https://pez.cuni.cz/ (we recommend save the address in your browser's favorites). PEZ contains records for entire databases, comprehensive collections of electronic books and journals, repositories and other tools of electronic information resources. On the other hand, to search for individual e-books, university theses, journals and articles in them, use UKAŽ.

The following list does not replace a search in PEZ, but contains important paid database sources, usually of the largest publishers, and even in the form as they are indexed by PEZ:
Academic Search Ultimate, Amboss, American Chemical Society Journals, Annual Reviews, Biomed Central, BMJ Journals Online Collection, BOOKPORT (for hospital), BOOKPORT (for faculty), Cambridge Core, Complete Anatomy, InCites - Benchmarking & Analytics, Journal Citation Reports, Karger Journals, Library & Information Science Source (LISS), Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins High Impact Collection, Oxford Academic, ProQuest Ebook, ScienceDirect, SciVal (trial ends 12/31/2023), Scopus, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, Thieme MedOne Education, Ulrichsweb, UpToDate Anywhere, Walter de Gruyter, Web of Science, Wiley Online Library.

Further classification only complements the situation with PEZ or points to other important database sources.

  • CATALOGUES - if you look for detailed info about journal (e.g. ISSN, periodicity)

  • OTHERS RESOURSES - the list of resourses offers another possibilities like alert via email, e-books etc.
